For years I have carried a simple but powerful idea with me: an enormous mirror sphere on the Maasvlakte, one you can stand inside.
Not just any artwork.
But an exact physical translation of the I·V·O model:
I — The center point (the observer)
Inside stands one staircase that brings you to the absolute center. Exactly at that point, you see only yourself reflected back everywhere — wherever you look, whichever direction you choose.
The ultimate physical experience of: "I am the center of my perception."
V — The staircase (direction, intention, vector)
You don't arrive at the center by itself.
You must choose a direction, take a step.
The staircase embodies V: the movement of consciousness wanting to know itself.
O — The mirroring sphere (the field)
A perfect, infinite context.
Everything reflects.
Everything is possible.
The field returns what you bring into it.
Exactly how consciousness works.
Not a symbol but an experience
This artwork is not a symbol but an experience: a quiet place where people can literally experience how consciousness takes shape.
No explanation.
No theory.
Only seeing, standing, feeling.
The idea exists in the field
Whether it ever gets built doesn't even matter.
The idea is pure.
It exists in the field.
That is enough.
When the time is right, it will move by itself.
