The framework is publicly accessible for reading, study, and academic reference, but not freely applicable.
Use, implementation, or integration — in any form — requires explicit permission and an appropriate license.
IVO is not open-source software. It is a structural architecture.
Without prior permission, only the following is permitted:
- reading and studying the public documentation
- academic reference and citation (with attribution)
- non-commercial research without application
- reflection, analysis, and teaching about the model
No implementation. No application. No operationalization.
Without explicit written permission, IVO may not be:
- applied in organizations, coaching, therapy, or guidance
- implemented in software, AI, agents, or models
- used as methodology, framework, or decision architecture
- deployed commercially or professionally
- used to build derivative systems, tools, or processes
This also applies to internal pilots, proof-of-concepts, "experimental" use, and embedded or implicit application.
The I·V·O framework has a differentiated license structure, tailored to context and risk.
For: academic research, education, publication, and analysis
Features:
- reading, studying, and citing only
- no application
- no implementation
- no commercial use
All core documents are publicly archived with DOI via Zenodo and constitute demonstrable prior art.
For: professionals, organizations, guidance, analysis and design, system and field work
Features:
- use of IVO as lens, not as product
- always within the ethics page
- context-bound and non-transferable
- no automation or autonomous application
Access: only through explicit permission, contractually established, always revocable in case of misuse or misalignment.
Here, human observation (I) is always explicitly present.
For: AI systems, software integrations, agentic systems, enterprise applications
